It’s official: Nick Foles will start at quarterback for the Eagles on Sunday at Tampa Bay, the club said on its Twitter feed this morning.
Michael Vick (hamstring) is active, but he will be a backup. Also, third-string quarterback Matt Barkley is also active, which could very well be a sign that Vick is unlikely to be used against Tampa Bay unless it is absolutely needed.
Foles threw for 197 yards and two TDs in relief of the injured Vick in the Eagles’ Week Five victory at the Giants. This is Foles’ seventh career NFL regular-season start.
