Jets running back Mike Goodson got a late start this season, and might have an early exit from his first year with the Jets.
Goodson suffered a knee injury late in the Jets’ 19-6 loss to the Steelers, and a source told Kieran Darcy of ESPNNewYork.com it could be serious. An MRI is being done today to determine the severity of the injury.
Goodson was the first free agent signed by new General Manager John Idzik, and has done nothing to earn his three-year, $6.9 million deal, which included a $1 million signing bonus.
An offseason arrest and four-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse program has derailed his season.
In two games, he has seven carries for 61 yards.
