The Packers continue to be put to the test by injuries.
According to Chris Havel of 1400 AM in Green Bay, outside linebacker Nick Perry sustained a broken foot in the Packers’ 19-17 victory at Baltimore on Sunday. According to the report, Perry is not expected to miss the entire season. Lance Allan of Milwaukee’s NBC affiliate WTMJ confirmed Perry’s injury.
Perry made one of the key plays in the win at Baltimore, forcing quarterback Joe Flacco to fumble late in the first half. Teammate Datone Jones recovered the fumble, and his return set up a Green Bay field goal at the end of the quarter.
The Packers were without Pro Bowl outside linebacker Clay Matthews (thumb) on Sunday, so losing Perry for any length of time would be tough to take. The club’s 2012 first-round pick, Perry has recorded three sacks in the last two games for Green Bay.
