It’s been just a week since the Minnesota Vikings officially signed quarterback Josh Freeman following his release by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Now he’s getting that much closer to starting for his new team.
According to Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com, the Vikings are pushing Freeman and are considering starting him this Monday night against the New York Giants. Glazer says the Vikings’ plan was to have Freeman learn the offense for two weeks before getting him involved in games.
That plan has obviously changed after the Vikings were blown out at home by the Carolina Panthers last week with Matt Cassel at the helm.
Frazier said Monday he wasn’t sure Freeman would be ready to play by this weekend. The Vikings apparently are going to try everything they can to see if they can get him to that point.
