Jay Cutler isn’t impressed by DeAngelo Hall

Hall

Three years ago, Bears quarterback Jay Cutler completed four passes to a player named Hall. But his first name is DeAngelo, and he plays for the Redskins.

As the Bears and Redskins prepare to meet again for the first time since 2010, Cutler isn’t ready to heap praise on the man who picked Cutler off four times in one game.

Another player, you know?” Cutler said Thursday, via Tarik El-Bashier of CSNWashington.com. Asked if Cutler had any other thoughts on the rematch with Hall, Cutler was concise: “Nope.”

Hall took no offense at the description.

“I am just another guy,” Hall said. “It’s not me versus Jay. It’s the Washington Redskins versus the Chicago Bears. . . . What kind of answer do want him to say? I don’t know what you want Jay to say, ‘Oh my god, I’m scared of this guy?’ I don’t know what you want him to say besides, hey, ‘He’s another guy.’ Whether he believes that in his heart or not, that’s what he had to say: ‘I’m another guy.’ He’s gone against some great corners in this league. I’m not probably the best guy he’s ever gone against.”

Hall actually makes a lot of sense. The Redskins will need him to make a lot of plays if they hope to climb out of their 1-4 hole.
