When Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Ware hurt his quad against the Redskins last weekend, initial reports were that Ware would miss three-to-four weeks of action while he recovers.

Ware, who has never missed a game in his career, opened the week by saying he was doubtful for this weekend’s game against the Eagles while scoffing at the idea he’d be out as long as reported. Now Ware won’t even agree with a doubtful tag, telling reporters on Thursday that he’ll travel to Philadelphia with the team and be a game-time decision.

“It’s two times better than what it was,” Ware said, via ESPNDallas.com. “I do have some push. I actually have been running in the weight room. It’s feeling pretty good to me personally.”

The Cowboys will release their official injury report for the game on Friday, so we’ll see if they share Ware’s belief that he’s questionable to play against the Eagles. If he is, it would be a good sign that he will be back sooner than expected even if he isn’t able to go in the battle for first place in the NFC East.
