The Browns were awarded rookie cornerback Jordan Poyer on waivers from Philadelphia on Monday, the club said.

With Poyer arriving, the Browns have waived first-year defensive back Julian Posey, who appeared in one game for Cleveland this season.

The 22-year-old Poyer played in three regular-season games for the Eagles, notching three tackles. The Eagles selected him in the seventh round in April’s draft. Poyer played collegiately at Oregon State.

The Eagles waived Poyer on Saturday to add running back Matthew Tucker to the roster.
