At the moment, being the coach on an 0-7 football team is not what’s weighing on Jaguars coach Gus Bradley’s heart and mind.

According to Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union, Bradley will join the team in London later this week because his father died. The Jaguars coach was the youngest of the 85-year-old Roy Bradley’s six children.

General manager David Caldwell announced the news, and said defensive backs coach DeWayne Walker would serve as interim coach for the next few days until Bradley rejoined the team. Walker talked to reporters, but wouldn’t comment on things such as quarterbacks or injuries, which seems reasonable.

The Jaguars were scheduled to leave today for London, where they’ll play the 49ers this weekend. Our thoughts go out to Bradley and his family.
