The Colts won’t be able to fill Reggie Wayne’s shoes, but they filled his roster spot today.

The team announced they had put the veteran wide receiver on injured reserve after he tore his ACL Sunday night. To replace him on the 53-man roster, they signed cornerback Jalil Brown.

They kept 10 defensive backs active Sunday night to defend Peyton Manning and the Broncos (it worked), but suffered a number of injuries during the game that left them depleted.

Brown was in camp with the Chiefs this summer. Originally a fourth-round pick from Colorado, he started two games for the Chiefs the previous two seasons.
