Eagles coach Chip Kelly offfered no hints about the identity of this week’s starting quarterback beyond announcing that Nick Foles has a concussion that makes him an unlikely choice to return to the lineup against the Giants.

Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reports that there’s going to be another announcement concerning an injured Eagles quarterback on Tuesday. Bowen reports that Michael Vick is expected to announce that his left hamstring has healed enough for him to return to action in Week Eight. Vick has missed the last two games after getting hurt in the first matchup of the year with the Giants.

If Vick’s healthy enough to play, it’s a good bet that he’ll be starting over Matt Barkley. Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that will be the case, although it’s unclear if that announcement will come today or wait until later in the week.

The Eagles are 2-3 in games started by Vick this season and the quarterback has completed 53.8 percent of his passes so far this season.
