The Jaguars are in London for the week and they’re not going to deprive English fans of a chance to watch an installment of the quarterback competition that has captivated America for the last few months.

Hays Carlyon of the Florida Times Union reports that the Jaguars announced Wednesday that Blaine Gabbert has been cleared for a return to full practice. Gabbert has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, but he’s apparently healed up enough to get back into the mix at quarterback.

With Gabbert set to practice, attention will now shift to whether or not the Jaguars will give their 2011 first-round pick another chance to run with the starting job.

Chad Henne, who has started the last two games as well as two others earlier in the season when Gabbert was sidelined by a thumb injury, said Wednesday that he expects to start against the 49ers. That seems like a reasonable expectation as Henne has topped 300 yards in each of the last two weeks while completing just over 64 percent of his passes, numbers that mitigate his three interceptions and no touchdowns. Gabbert, on the other hand, only completed half his passes in one of the three starts he’s made this season while delivering one touchdown against seven picks.
