Leslie Frazier: I never thought we’d be 1-6, but we’ll get things fixed

Vikings coach Leslie Frazier admits that even if he had laid out his worst-case scenario for this season, it wouldn’t have occurred to him that his team would go from 10-6 last season to 1-6 to start this season.

There was no scenario in my mind that told me we’d be 1-6 at this juncture,” Frazier said, via KSTP.

But whether Frazier saw it coming or not, 1-6 is where the Vikings are after seven games. And as bad as their record is, the Vikings have looked even worse on the field in the last three weeks, getting blown out in three straight games.

Still, Frazier thinks the Vikings can finish the season with a good record.

“I believe we can get things fixed and play better . . . there’s some things we have to do better and I think we can,” Frazier said, adding that his team will not give up.

Frazier may see reason to believe the Vikings can clean this mess up, but that reason for optimism is hard for the rest of us to see.
