Bucs announce sellout of Week 10 Monday night game

RJS

Good news, Buccaneers! The Monday night game against the Dolphins has been completely sold out, with 100 percent of all non-premium tickets purchased.

Bad news, Buccaneers! The Monday night game against the Dolphins has been completely sold out, with 100 percent of all non-premium tickets purchased.

The Bucs have turned the page on Wednesday’s conflicting reports regarding whether guard Davin Joseph did or didn’t have MRSA (he had non-MRSA staph) by announcing that the Week 10 game has been sold out, but the looming arrival of a full house for a game to be played by an 0-8 team on national TV could lead to some ugliness being directed at coach Greg Schiano.

If, of course, Schiano is still the coach in 11 days.

Some think that Schiano will be fired if/when (when) the Seahawks blow out the Bucs in Seattle on Sunday. If he’s not, that full stadium could be in full throat, chanting for Schiano’s ouster and/or for the immediate hiring of Lovie Smith.

Adding to the intrigue will be the halftime addition of defensive tackle Warren Sapp to the team’s Ring of Honor, especially since Sapp recently has taken aim at Schiano.

“If I’m down in Tampa, I’m questioning this whole thing because it’s a mafia style,” Sapp said. “I know [Mike] Glennon is not the quarterback that Josh Freeman is. There’s no question about it. The film tells me this. Practice tells me this. Even my quarterback demeanor tells me this. . . .

"[W]hen you’re my way or the highway, you must win now. Because guys don’t believe in your way when you’re losing. And you lose the way they lost the first two weeks, you gave away those football games. And whenever you’ve giving away football games, your style needs to change.”

Yep, it’s going to be an interesting night in Tampa.
