The Saints have cut cornerback Chris Carr, agent Buddy Baker said on Twitter on Friday afternoon.

Carr, 30, appeared in five games for the Saints in 2013, notching eight tackles, defending two passes and recording one interception. In the Saints’ 35-17 win vs. Buffalo on Sunday, Carr played 20 snaps on defense and 13 snaps on special teams. Also, he broke up a pass intended for Bills tight end Scott Chandler in the endzone.

Before joining the Saints this June, Carr had stints with the Chargers (2012), Vikings (2012 offseason), Ravens (2009-2011), Titans (2008) and Raiders (2005-07).

Carr has recorded 221 tackles and seven interceptions since entering the NFL in 2005 with Oakland, which signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Boise State.
