Eagles quarterback Nick Foles has seven touchdown passes today. And it’s still the third quarter.

The Philadelphia offense is putting the Oakland defense to shame, and Foles is carving up the secondary. With more than four minutes remaining in the third quarter, Foles has completed 21 of 26 passes for 400 yards, with seven touchdowns, no interceptions and a perfect 158.3 passer rating.

Foles has now tied the NFL record for touchdown passes in a game, a record that he shares with six other quarterbacks. The seven-touchdown mark was reached most recently by Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning in the first game of this season. The others to do it are Joe Kapp, Sid Luckman, Adrian Burk, George Blanda and Y.A. Tittle.

Now we’ll see if Foles will break the record -- and if Chip Kelly, whose Eagles lead the Raiders 49-13, will give Foles the opportunity.
