Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant returned to limited participation in practice Thursday as he deals with a back injury that kept him from practicing on Wednesday.

According to Mike Fisher of FOXSportsSouthwest.com, the Cowboys are concerned that Bryant could be suffering from a bulging or herniated disc.

Bryant expects to play Sunday night against the New Orleans Saints and head coach Jason Garrett doesn’t believe it’s a big issue.

“It’s bothering him a little bit off and on,” Garrett said. “We don’t think it’s a significant deal.”

However, Bryant has dealt with back issues before in his four seasons with the Cowboys.and there is belief that this issue goes beyond just tightness or back spasms. If the injury forced Bryant to miss time, it would be a big blow to the Cowboys offense. Bryant is having his second straight productive season for Dallas with 51 catches for 705 yards and eight touchdowns through nine games and ranks in the top 10 of the league in all three categories.
