Falcons wide receiver Roddy White said this week that he expects to end his spell on the sideline and play on Sunday against the Seahawks.
Coach Mike Smith said Friday that he expects the same, but the team is hedging its bets a little bit. They’ll list White as questionable on the final injury report of the week, giving him a 50/50 chance of playing even though Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports that Smith plans on having White in the lineup barring a setback that hasn’t popped up during White’s full week of practice.
Assuming White avoids that setback, he’ll get a chance to renew unpleasantries with Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman. Sherman is underwhelmed by the challenge that White will provide on Sunday, so we’ll see if White can muster up a strong response in his first game action since a Week Four loss to the Jets.
Left tackle Sam Baker (knee), defensive tackle Corey Peters (knee) and linebacker Stephen Nicholas (quad) are also questionable for a Falcons team that may be limited to playing spoiler to teams like the Seahawks the rest of the way.
