The most fretted-about hit of the week didn’t turn out to be costly to the hitter or the hittee.
Chargers defensive lineman Corey Liuget was not fined for his low hit on Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, the league confirmed to PFT.
Liuget’s hit was low, and the Broncos sent the play to the league for review. But the fact it was neither flagged at the time or flagged upon review makes it clear the league had no problem with it.
Manning’s not necessarily worse for wear either. He missed practice Wednesday, but is listed as probable for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.
