For a third straight day, it appears Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson will not practice.
According to Mike Rodak of ESPN.com, Johnson wasn’t present on the practice field this morning. The sixth-year receiver has been dealing with a groin injury that also sidelined him on Wednesday and Thursday.
The Bills are already assured of being without rookie wideout Robert Woods for Sunday’s game against the Jets because of an ankle injury. Coach Doug Marrone ruled out Woods earlier this week, but he did not close the door on Johnson playing.
If Johnson and Woods are out, the Bills would enter Sunday with just four healthy wideouts on the current active roster: T.J. Graham, Marquise Goodwin, Marcus Easley and Chris Hogan. The Bills also have two receivers on the practice squad, which would allow them to bolster their ranks in-house if needed.
