Wallace, Pouncey both questionable for Dolphins

The Dolphins offense has had a hard time of things this season.

They can’t run the ball, their offensive line has been a wreck on and off the field and they might be letting the defense know what play is coming ahead of time, so they really don’t need injuries to two more starters on offense. Alas, that’s just where they are with both center Mike Pouncey and wide receiver Mike Wallace listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Chargers.

Pouncey missed practice with an illness on Friday, but the good news is that he isn’t expected to miss Sunday’s game. Should things wind up going the other way, the Dolphins’ already shaky offensive line would be operating on a wing and a prayer.

Wallace popped up on the injury report as limited with a hamstring injury and remained limited in practice on Friday. The fact that he practiced at all bodes well for his chances of playing, but it probably won’t be until pregame warmups before the Dolphins will know for sure.

  1. If Pouncey can’t go maybe they should consider Wallace at center. With Yeatman, Incognito, Martin MIA and McKinnie and Garner filling in I can’t even remember who is left to fill in on the line.

  2. I think Nate garner was our backup center, so does he play center, or guard or tackle since we are so depleted?

    Can John Denney play center.

I hope they had the foresight to train the long-snapper as an 3rd string center.

This OL situation (now w Yeatman out and maybe Pouncey unavailable)..you couldn’t make this stuff up.

And 3rd rd. pick Dallas Thomas is STILL riding pine–“inactively” that is– as far as I know.

How bad do you have to be to not break into THIS O Line at this point???
Can we say bust yet, or was he another 3 yr project?

    This is horrid.

  3. Mike Wallace was hurt on the last play of the Bucs game where he gave superhuman effort to wrestle the ball away from Darrelle Revis who ended up intercepting R Tannehill on the play. Oh wait, that was another player on another team in another game.
