The coach of the team the Panthers beat last night is notorious for monotonously calling his players “day-to-day.” Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson is, a day after being leg whipped by Patriots tackle Marcus Cannon, week-to-week.
Per a league source, Johnson has a sprained MCL.
The term “week-to-week” implies he’ll miss at least one week, which would put him out of Sunday’s game at Miami.
The MCL is a rope-like ligament that can heal on its own if not fully torn. But it takes time. How much time for Johnson remains to be seen.
