While there seems to be no end in sight to the different ways the Dolphins can lose offensive linemen this year, they’re hoping for good news about getting one of them back.
According to Jeff Darlington of the NFL Network, center Mike Pouncey is hoping to avoid surgery, after being taken to the hospital last week with kidney and gallbladder issues.
Darlington reports doctors will try to treat him with medication rather than removing the gallbladder, which would obviously mean a lengthy absence.
Of course, Pouncey has a few other issues at the moment, which aren’t exactly conducive to gastric health.
Pouncey didn’t play last week, leaving Miami scrambling for blockers, after losing Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito to a bullying scandal, along with backup tackle Will Yeatman to the more traditional torn ACL.
