What looked like a second chance for a young receiver has ended.
According to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports, the Browns are putting wide receiver Armanti Edwards on season-ending injured reserve because of an ankle injury suffered Sunday.
Edwards, who was declared the training camp MVP by the Panthers before being released midseason, got some work with the Browns as a returner.
The former third-round pick, who was a college quarterback at Appalachian State, never got many chances during the regular season with the Panthers, and will now have to wait until next preseason to impress again.
