San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman Alex Boone was hit with a $7,875 fine from the league after retaliating against Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Alameda Ta’Amu during a game in October.

According to Bill Williamson of ESPN.com, Boone’s fine has been rescinded.

Ta’Amu stepped on Boone’s face and was ultimately fined $10,000 for his actions as well. Boone retaliated and hit Ta’Amu for kicking him, which led to the fine from the league.

Boone said he would appeal the fine and it appears as though he’s been vindicated upon further review.

The 49ers and Cardinals meet again the final week of the season.
