Dez Bryant to Giants: Let’s get physical

The Giants said that their game plan for dealing with Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant this week is to get physical with him because, according to Giants safety Will Hill, Bryant doesn’t like to be touched.

Bryant was asked about that on Thursday and said that he was just fine with the Giants taking the Olivia Newton-John approach to things. Bryant said he’s never felt that physical defense has been a problem for him in the past and that he welcomes it this Sunday.

“You know, whatever that gets them motivated, all I know is Sunday, I’m going to play my game,” Bryant said, via Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “We, us -- as a team, as well -- are coming out playing our game.”

The Giants kept Bryant from having a big day in their season-opening loss to the Cowboys as he finished with four catches for just 22 yards. For the most part, though, Bryant has been successful against every kind of coverage that teams have thrown his way this season. If he’s successful against whatever the Giants send his way, a fifth-straight win will be harder to come by for Hill and company.
