Graham’s double-handed dunk bends goalpost

Graham

The Saints have taken the lead in Atlanta, thanks to a 44-yard catch-and-run on a throw from quarterback Drew Brees to tight end Jimmy Graham.

The play was good, the punctuation was even better.

Graham Darryl Dawkinsed the goal post with a two-handed dunk over the crossbar, knocking the thing crooked. The game was delayed while maintenance workers brought out a giant level and evened the thing out.

While players no longer may celebrate with props, the league makes an exception for routines like the Lambeau Leap and the goalpost dunk. If players are going to knock the goalpost crooked, however, the dunk needs to go -- or at a minimum a dunk that knocks the goalpost crooked needs to be penalized.
