Chiefs will be without DeVito, Fisher doubtful

Houston Texans v Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs lost their perfect record last weekend, and they might have lost a few linemen they’ll need as well.

Based on the official injury report, defensive end Mike DeVito won’t play this week against the Chargers because of the knee injury suffered last week, and right tackle Eric Fisher is doubtful with a shoulder injury.

Fisher hasn’t practiced this week because of the persistent shoulder problem. If he can’t go, the first overall pick in the draft would be replaced by veteran Donald Stephenson.

Questionable for the Chiefs are defensive end Tyson Jackson (abdomen) and guard Jon Asamoah (shoulder). Five Chiefs are probable, including linebacker Derrick Johnson (wrist) and tight end Anthony Fasano (knee/ankle).

While the Chargers don’t offer the same degree of talent up front, the Chiefs need to return to their physical style to keep pace with the Broncos after last week’s loss.
