Patriots secondary questionable at the wrong time

New England Patriots v Carolina Panthers

The Patriots were at least moderately healthy against the Panthers.

But now that they’re playing a team more efficient at throwing the ball, they’re likely to be very shorthanded.

The Patriots listed four members of the secondary as questionable for Sunday night’s game against the Broncos — cornerbacks Aqib Talib, Alfonzo Dennard and Kyle Arrington, along with safety Steve Gregory. All were listed as participating on a limited basis Friday.

Of the group, Dennard (knee), isn’t expected to play, while Talib (hip) might still need to “Ice up, son,” after aggravating his hip injury last week.

With the Broncos getting Wes Welker back from a concussion, and plenty of other targets for Peyton Manning to choose from, it’s far from an ideal situation.
