The Rams, as expected, officially have placed cornerback Cortland Finnegan on injured reserve, due to an eye injury. It was one of several moves made in advance of the team’s first game since shellacking the Colts 13 days ago.

The Rams also placed veteran quarterback Brady Quinn on injured reserve, with a hip injury. To fill the two roster spots, the Rams activated rookie safety T.J. McDonald (as expected) and elevated cornerback Quinton Pointer from the practice squad.

McDonald, a third-round pick from USC, was placed on IR with the designation to return after a Week Four loss to the 49ers.

The Rams now have only two quarterbacks on the active roster: starter Kellen Clemens and backup Austin Davis.
