With Scott Tolzien struggling through his second start with the Packers, head coach Mike McCarthy made a quarterback change, pulling Tolzien in favor of veteran Matt Flynn in the third quarter of Sunday’s game at Green Bay.

Flynn entered the game with the Packers trailing 20-7. Tolzien, who had started the game in good-enough form, was not effective for much of second and third quarters, completing just 7-of-17 passes for 98 yards.

Flynn completed 2-of-3 passes for four yards on his first drive, which ended in a punt. The drive started promisingly, with James Starks breaking a 34-yard run. However, the march stalled soon thereafter.

The Vikings lead 20-7 in Green Bay at the end of the third quarter.
