Some coaches apparently don’t like it when their players help opposing players off the ground. But it’s a given that all coaches would like their players to help their teammates up.
As explained by Jason Lisk and Michael Shamburger of TheBigLead.com, the linemen charged with protecting Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III haven’t been helping him up this year when he’s on the ground after being sacked.
According to Lisk and Shamburger, teammates helped Griffin up after only three of 26 sacks this season.
It’s hard to know what to make of it at this point, other than it will provide the media with fodder for questions for the various offensive linemen and Griffin and anyone else regarding why they’re not helping Griffin off the ground.
