Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley said Monday that the team will likely place running back Justin Forsett on injured reserve after suffering an injury Sunday against the Houston Texans.
According to John Oehser of the team’s official website, Forsett suffered a non-displaced fracture in his foot and is expected to be out 4-6 weeks. With just five weeks left in the season, the move to injured reserve would free up a roster spot for a replacement for the final month of the year.
Forsett has played in nine of 11 games for the Jaguars this season and has just six carries for 31 yards. He’s been more effective out of the backfield with 15 catches for 82 yards on the season.
Forsett has served as the team’s third-string running back behind Maurice Jones-Drew and Jordan Todman.
