Cornerback Darrelle Revis had an MRI after injuring his groin against the Lions last Sunday and the results have returned without a sign of anything too bad for him or the Buccaneers.
Coach Greg Schiano said at his Wednesday news conference that the MRI didn’t reveal anything drastically wrong with Revis that would force Schiano to rule him out of this week’s matchup with the Panthers. Schiano called Revis, who didn’t practice Wednesday, day-to-day, which means we’re probably looking at a questionable designation for Sunday if Revis can get in a limited practice or two over the rest of the week.
Winning for the fourth straight week will be a much easier task for Tampa if Revis is able to take Steve Smith out of the game, although that’s not a task easily accomplished at less than 100 percent.
The Bucs should have linebacker Mason Foster back in the lineup, however. Foster missed last weekend’s game with a concussion, but he’s received the green light to get back to work this week.
