Reggie Bush breaks his promise to stop fumbling

reggiebush

After Lions running back Reggie Bush lost a costly fumble against the Steelers, he promised not to fumble again. It didn’t take him long to break that promise.

On the Lions’ opening possession on Thanksgiving against the Packers, Bush lost a fumble deep in Green Bay territory, and Detroit ended a promising drive with no points.

Packers linebacker Clay Matthews made a great play, beating a double team to get his hand on the ball and knock it out of Bush’s arms.

The fumble was Bush’s fourth of the season. He looked dejected on the bench afterward, and he may stay on the bench: If the Lions can’t trust Bush not to fumble, they need to replace him with Joique Bell, a running back who isn’t as spectacular as Bush but is proving himself to be more reliable.
