The Cardinals will try to extend their winning streak to five games in Philadelphia on Sunday, but one of the offensive pieces that has helped spur them to a string of victories may not be able to be part of the effort.

Running back Andre Ellington popped up on Thursday’s injury report with a knee injury, as opposed to the indigestion or familial frustration that led many others to their own compromised states on Thanksgiving. There aren’t many details about the nature of Ellington’s injury, which he appears to have suffered during practice as he wound up as just a limited participant.

Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports that Ellington had his knee wrapped on Friday morning, but that he said he was hopeful of playing against the Eagles. The team will release its final injury report of the week later in the day, which will give us a better idea of whether to share that hope.

Ellington has run for 262 yards over the course of the Cardinals’ winning streak, which has vaulted them to a 7-4 record and a spot in the NFC playoff race.
