While it’s hard to know where he stands in terms of job security, Texans coach Gary Kubiak sounds like a man sure of where he’ll stand Sunday.

Count on it,” Kubiak said of working from the sidelines, via Brian Smith of the Houston Chronicle.

Kubiak has coached from the press box the last two weeks, after returning from a stroke-like attack suffered at halftime of a game at Reliant Stadium against the Colts.

He was meeting with his doctors Friday afternoon, but gave no indication he planned to be anywhere but with his team Sunday against the Patriots.

Given that the clock could be ticking on his tenure as head coach of the 2-9 Texans, he should probably savor every moment.
