Branden Albert carted off with knee injury

The Chiefs are trying to get back into the lead against the Broncos in the fourth quarter and they’re going to have to do it without left tackle Branden Albert.

Albert was carted off the field after injuring his left knee while blocking Broncos linebacker Von Miller on a passing play. Albert got back to his feet with the help of Kansas City’s medical staff, but needed the help of the cart to make it to the locker room.

First overall pick Eric Fisher, who didn’t start on Sunday with Albert and Donald Stephenson at the tackles, is in the game with Albert out of commission. Tight end Anthony Fasano is also out of the game for the Chiefs.

The Chiefs have struggled to generate any momentum on offense in the second half, leading to two-touchdown lead for the Broncos and a need for some quick action from the home team. We’ll find out if they can make it happen without Albert’s help.
