Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder is out of Sunday’s game vs. Chicago with a concussion, the club said.
Ponder, who was sacked three times in the first two quarters, appeared to be hurt when he was hit by Bears defensive end Shea McClellin on a third-down pass late in the second quarter.
Matt Cassel relieved Ponder to end the half.
The Bears hold a 13-7 third quarter lead vs. Minnesota after a long Alshon Jeffery TD catch to begin the second half.
Ponder completed 3-of-8 passes for 40 yards for the Vikings, who have racked up 107 yards rushing and took a first-half lead on Cordarrelle Patterson 33-yard TD run.
