The Chiefs won’t have linebacker Justin Houston in their AFC West matchup with the Broncos on Sunday afternoon and the Broncos will also be without a couple of key players.

Tight end Julius Thomas was able to practice in a limited fashion this week, but is out for the second straight game because of a knee injury. Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is also out for Denver. Rodgers-Cromartie hurt his shoulder against the Patriots last Sunday night.

As expected, Chiefs linerbacker Tamba Hali is active a week after suffering a sprained ankle against the Chargers. Hali was listed as questionable after steadily progressing throughout the week, but Houston may be out a bit longer after dislocating his elbow.

Quarterback Tyler Bray, linebacker Nico Johnson, center Eric Kush, guard Rokevious Watkins, guard Rishaw Johnson and defensive tackle Kyle Love are also inactive for the Chiefs. Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe didn’t travel to Kansas City because of an illness. Guard Chris Kuper, quarterback Zac Dysert, running back C.J. Anderson and center J.D. Walton are also inactive.
