Seattle loss isn’t enough to knock them out of the top spot

Seahawks

Yeah, the Seahawks lost to the 49ers in what likely will be the next-to-last game ever played at Candlestick Park.

But the gap between the Seahawks and the rest of the field was large enough to allow them to keep their spot atop the brand new PFT power rankings.

I was tempted to hold Richard Sherman’s better-at-life-sore-loser routine against the team. But even with Sherman balancing his bad winner act by being a bad loser, the Seahawks remain the best team in the league.

It will be a major upset if the Seahawks aren’t the NFC’s representative in the Super Bowl. And it will be a surprise if they fail to beat whoever the AFC puts into the game.
