The 49ers were dominant throughout the day, showing they could strike both quickly and methodically.

With a 33-14 win over the Buccaneers, they improved to 10-4. They did it with a dominant defense, allowing just 183 yards on the day. So while it appeared close late, it really wasn’t.

The Bucs got to within 20-14 early in the fourth quarter on Mike Glennon’s second touchdown pass of the day, but the 49ers then proceeded to pummel them into submission in two different ways.

The 49ers iced the game with one of the most dominant field goal drives you’d ever see, a 17-play, 77-yarder that took 10:27 off the clock before Phil Dawson hit his 23rd straight field goal

That was followed by a fumbled kickoff, which 49ers running back Kendall Hunter recovered for a touchdown.

That was enough, on a day when Colin Kaepernick was effective through the air and on the ground, finishing with 203 passing yards and two touchdowns.
