The Colts continue to collect stray running backs, signing former Chiefs and Ravens running back Shaun Draughn Tuesday.

They made room for him on the roster by putting inside linebacker Pat Angerer on injured reserve. He was plagued by knee problems, but was a healthy scratch last week.

Draughn gives them another option in the backfield, after they signed Tashard Choice last week.

Draughn was cut by the Chiefs during the preseason, and played in three games for the Ravens early this year. He worked out for the Colts last week, and gives them another option for returns.

  1. When the Browns traded away Richardson for that first round pick, I was sure they were giving up on their season and the Colts were Super Bowl bound. Now that the Colts are signing Shaun Draughn to get any sort of running game together, I’m man enough to eat my words.

Turns out Richardson isn’t nearly as good as I thought he was.

  2. Shaun Draughn is a Good Guy. He was a Good Chief. Met him at training camp and he was a class act.

I wonder if the Colts are sweting him for inside info on the Chiefs.

  3. We got from Richardson exactly what I feared we would. As my son said, if you need 3 yards, he can get you 3 yards. If you need 4 yards, he can get you 3 yards. (Although 3 might be a bit of a generous number for T-Rich; sorry, but that draft choice could have been better used in many other ways.)

  4. Well the Browns season has been over for weeks, and the Colts have a shot at the SB, so your original thoughts are not wrong yet!!

Just remember, the Browns will be getting a mid-to-late 20s pick (or higher if they make a postseason run) for T-Rich, but look what they gave up to move up 1 spot to draft him 2 years ago!! Its not like theyre making out like bandits here. And there recent draft picks have been horrible, so chances are they’ll blow the pick and grab another bust
