The Chicago Bears released safety Sean Cattouse Tuesday after appearing in just one game for the team.

Cattouse had spent most of the season on the team’s practice squad before being signed to the active roster. His only appearance came against the Minnesota Vikings earlier this month where he didn’t record any statistics.

Cattouse also appeared in just one game last season with the San Diego Chargers as a rookie.

According to Michael C. Wright of ESPNChicago.com, the Bears worked out a pair of safeties and an offensive lineman on Tuesday. Safeties Sherrod Martin and Jerron McMillian and tackle Michael Ola had tryouts with the team.

Martin played four season with the Carolina Panthers before suffering ACL and MCL tears last season. McMillian appeared in 12 games with two starts for the Green Bay Packers this season before being released on Dec. 3.
