Shaun Draughn’s stay in Indianapolis was a short one.

The Colts announced they waived the running back, who was signed Tuesday, so they could add some offensive line depth instead.

The Colts promoted center Thomas Austin from the practice squad to fill his spot. Austin has played in seven games and started one, spending time with the Texans and the Panthers.

The Colts were a little thin up front, with tackle Jeff Linkenbach (quadricep) and guard Joe Reitz (concussion) doubtful, so it appears they needed the reinforcements there instead of a fourth running back.
