Packers put Jolly, Bostick on injured reserve

Jolly

The amazing and unlikely comeback of Packers defensive end Johnny Jolly officially has ended, for now.

The Packers have placed Jolly on injured reserve. He suffered a neck injury last week, during the team’s win over the Cowboys.

Also shelved for the balance of the season is tight end Brandon Bostick, who has a foot injury.

Jolly appeared in 13 games with eight starts after missing three full seasons arising off-field issues relating to codeine possession. Rookie Josh Boyd is expected to get extra work with Jolly out.

The Packers have yet to make any corresponding roster moves to fill the spots vacated by Jolly and Bostick.
