Once again, the Bengals are rolling at Paul Brown Stadium.
Cincinnati, which is unbeaten at home this season, holds a 35-7 third-quarter lead against visiting Minnesota on Sunday afternoon.
Quarterback Andy Dalton has thrown for three touchdowns for Cincinnati, which has scored 28 consecutive points. Dalton’s latest TD pass was a back-shoulder seven-yard dart to Mohamed Sanu on the Bengals’ first drive of the second half.
Sanu’s score came one play after Giovani Bernard’s electric 41-yard reception, a play that featured a spin move and a stiff-arm.
Meanwhile, Dalton’s counterpart, Matt Cassel, has had a tough game. He has been intercepted twice, with one returned for a 25-yard touchdown by Bengals linebacker Vincent Rey. On the interception, Rey anticipated Cassel’s throw, stepping in front of the intended receiver, securing the ball and running away for the 25-yard score. Cassel also fumbled when sacked by Rey and safety Reggie Nelson on the Vikings’ first drive, setting up Cincinnati’s first score.
