If Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson plays in the season finale at Minnesota, it will be without having practiced this week.

Johnson (knee) sat out the Lions’ Friday workout, Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com reported today.

The 28-year-old Johnson is gaining 17.8 yards per catch, a career-high. Overall, he’s hauled in 84 catches for 1,492 yards and 14 touchdowns, and this despite dealing with the knee ailment for the bulk of the season. He’s a virtual slam dunk to be selected to the Pro Bowl on Friday night.

The Lions (7-8) are eliminated from playoff contention.
