Bears sign Tony Fiammetta to contract extension

For the second consecutive day, the Bears have signed a player to a contract extension.

According to the club’s Twitter feed, Chicago has signed fullback Tony Fiammetta to a new contract that runs through the 2015 season.

The 27-year-old Fiammetta has played in all 15 games for the Bears this season, catching four passes for 57 yards. According to Pro Football Focus, Fiammetta has played 220 snaps for Chicago.

Fiammetta (6-0, 250) has made 24 career starts, including seven this season. He previously had stints with Dallas and Carolina.

On Friday, the Bears signed kicker Robbie Gould through 2017.
