Despite being healed, Flacco’s sticking with knee brace

Flacco

Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has been removed from the injury report after recovering from a left knee injury, but he won’t be removing the brace from his previously injured left knee.

Per a league source, Flacco will indeed stick with the brace on Sunday at Cincinnati even though he has not been mentioned at all in this week’s injury report.

That meshes with Flacco’s comments to reporters from Tuesday, two days after an ugly loss to the Patriots during which Flacco seemed to be bothered by the knee he injured the prior Monday night at Detroit.“I’m going to do it the same way,” Flacco said, via the team’s official website. “I really just want to make sure I can be as safe as I can moving forward so nothing crazy happens. I’m pretty comfortable with it. It’s not ideal, but it is what it is and it’s not that big of an issue.”

Based on the official injury report, the knee injury isn’t an issue at all. Which means that the brace is being worn primarily if not exclusively for Flacco’s peace of mind, given the scare he received 12 days ago.
