The Browns might end up going for an older coach yet, but at the moment, they’re leaning toward another young coordinator.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Browns have asked permission to interview Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn for their vacant position.
Quinn has previously worked as the defensive line coach for the Seahawks, Jets, Dolphins and 49ers, along with the University of Florida.
The 43-year-old assistant joins 35-year-old Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase as candidates they’re known to have asked to talk to.
If the Browns wanted a Seahawks assistant, they probably should have spent more time talking to Gus Bradley last year. He ended up with the Jaguars, and beat the Browns down the stretch in one of the games that might have doomed Rob Chudzinski.
